The brigade trains every monday night from 7:00pm. Members also attend a duty crew session once a month, in which our volunteers check the inventories of our trucks, clean the fire station and ring in the latest FIRS (Fire Incident Reporting System) reports.

As part of Westernport Group in Region 8, the brigade participates in group training exercises. These exercises are usually held at Bangholme Campus (CFA Training Ground) however sometimes occur in various locations on public and private land. The Westernport Group of Fire Brigades consists of Balnarring, Baxter, Bittern, Crib Point, Hastings, Langwarrin, Moorooduc, Mornington, Red Hill, Shoreham, Somers, Somerville and Tyabb.

The brigade also trains with supporting brigades in our turn-out area. These brigades are Frankston, Langwarrin, Pearcedale, Somerville, Moorooduc and Mt Eliza. This training is essential as it helps us to get to know our supporting brigades, and we are therefore able to work more effeciently at incidents on the fire ground. Disclaimer / Site map
