                        COMMUNICATIONS

The Brigade is supplied a good range of communication equipment from the Country Fire Authority. Each member receives a pager that will alert them to "alarms of fire" as well as non-emergency notifications and administration messages.

Two way radios are installed in the Authority owned tanker and the Brigade owned pumper. Portable radios are also supplied for each vehicle as well as additional portable radios for each pair of breathing apparatus sets. (one for each vehicle).

Many members also purchase their own listening sets so that they can keep tabs on incidents in the District and across the State as well as being useful for hearing further information on the way to calls.

The Brigade communicates with the community through this website and the BRATPAC Newsletter. We also get into the local paper occasionally.
